A trope of many horror movies is the blood-curdling cry known as the Wilhelm scream. A desperate plea from the victim in a moment of lost hope and insurmountable odds. If the original sound was recorded today, it may sound even more terrifying and frighteningly similar to the guttural vocals from Seattle-based Yellfire. A chaotic symphony of crushing riffs and heart-pounding rhythms underneath a subterfuge of melody that lulls you into quiet before attacking like Hitchcockian fowl. Yellfire’s frantic pace and psychopathic structure will leave you sweaty and palpitating on our festival floor.
