Blisteringly fast and furiously brutal, East Vancouver’s Dirge brings an old school style of crusty grindcore. It distills all the evils in the world and then spits it back into your face with a relentless, uncensored sonic assault. Every song is very short but densely packed with as many blast beats, guttural growls and filthy distorted sawtooth riffs as possible. This band plays more songs in one set than others might write in a lifetime. We’re not sure it gets more extreme than this.
